AI for Small Business Owners, Vendors and Their Teams: How to Use It Wisely, Grow Steadily, and Stay in Charge.
Coming soon. From your first step with AI to a business that runs on it: a ten-year path for every small business, sorted by yearly revenue. Wherever you are on the path today, you'll find your level, your next step and how to measure it.
Every figure below is sourced in the manuscript, with the study behind it named at the point it's used.
Answer one question. Get the path this book recommends you start with — the same routing logic used in the book itself.
The same pattern that moved power through agriculture, writing, the printing press, and the internet is happening again, right now, with AI.
This book is genuinely new — its Advance Reader Copy program is underway now, not finished yet. Rather than show you placeholder quotes before they're real, this section will fill in honestly as actual readers weigh in. If you'd like to be one of the first, join the list below.
My legal name is Mohsen Toolami Vaghei. I publish and go by Mike Toolami — the name on this book's cover is the one I've used in business for most of my career.
From 1990 to 2010, I built and ran three real small businesses with partners who each wore different hats — a collision repair shop, a drycleaning business, a handful of fast food restaurants. I read the other AI books first, as a small business owner trying to figure out what mattered, and none of them respected my time. This book is my answer to that.
Since 2010, I've worked across different companies — currently with a national corporation in the auto body industry. That's given me a firsthand, ongoing view of how a company that size actually operates efficiently, sitting right alongside everything I already learned running small ones.
There's no preview yet, on purpose: we're bringing every step up to date first. Join This Week for Owners for one short, useful email a week, and you'll hear first when the book comes out.
Our promise: nothing in this book goes out until it's current. After release, the tool list stays current on this site and is updated every year.
